  15. BumpsaDaisy says:

Well done JB, you did the best you could, shame about the let-down, I hope a head or two will roll!

WHY does SV get so on edge when he is racing with you or Lewis? He makes stupid mistakes that he doesn’t seem to when around anyone elsef, you in particular seem to throw him so off balance and very insecure. The SV radio transmission when he was stuck behind you had us in hysterics and reminded us of Dick Darstardly & Mutley from Whacky Races …. “DO SOMETHING Mutley”!! I’m going to download it as a ring-tone which will make me smile lots! Would love you to have a Mutley on your crash helmet for Belgium, it would make my Mum’s day – she’s a HUGE fan (as am I), but she’s 74! Give your cat a big cuddle from us and good luck in the triathlon xx

  16. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

Well done on a superb drive, you definitely should have been on the podium today. You had a fantastic start (so satisfying seeing you get past Vettel)!! So frustrated about McLaren pitting you so early and putting you out in traffic and changing you to a three stopper. But you did a brilliant job and its great that the car has the pace, shame your team let you down today.

Have a great break and see you next time in Spa. No racing for a month, sad face!!

    All the best JB.

    Kay x

  17. Mog says:

Well done Jenson. You could have had a podium place – oh dear I can’t understand ‘team’ decisions

  18. f1bettings says:

Looking more promising for Lewis this weekend but we know Button has had success in Hungary and is also a great driver in the rain.

  19. Lee n son Lucas says:

Keep up the best work jb you can do it work ur magic me and my 18 month year old son Lucas are supporting you all the way good luck tomorrow make them tyres work

  20. Steve says:

Hi JB. am i wrong look at red bull in practice now they have had there mapping delt with. i feel sorry for Mark Weber he is a good man but he will always come second to Vetel

Mate i will say it as it is you and Hamilton are good enough to take this world championship and more.

If there is know cheating going on.

  21. Barbara says:

Hope the first two free practice sessions go well tomorrow and then on to the third and quali good luck JB

  22. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

Hope you have another fantastic weekend resulting in another podium finish, the top step would certainly be the icing on the cake. I know Hungary is a special place for you, taking your first win in 2006 and then your brilliant win last year on your 200th race, lets hope its another one to remember.

All the very very best JB, go show them how its done!

    Kay x

  23. Steve says:

Hi JB. Red Bull not only cheat with the maping of the car they try to cheat on the track.

Have you noticed Vetel always comes out last in Q 3 and sets a blistering time I wounder why.

    Take care JB brilliant drive.

  24. Elton says:

    Hi Jenson,
Fantastic, back where you belong, on the podium, great drive, vet had what was due to him. Great that you are pleased with car and super quick pit work, congrats to them. Very pleased for you.
    Best wishes,

  25. Barbara says:

Well done Jenson, back where you belong ,on the podium. Vettel deserved the penalyt

  26. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

CONGRATULATIONS on a superb drive, fantastic to see you take to the podium once again. Brilliant second place finish, so glad that Vettel got the penalty that he so deserved. Also, hats off to McLaren for giving you a great car and for the super quick pit stops. All in all a brilliant day!!

Once again, well done JB, can’t wait to see you do it all over again next week in Hungary.

    Kay x

  32. adrian marshall says:

Have a great weekend J,and I hope that ML give you a competitive car so that you can be back at the front.

  33. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

Hope when you take to the track for tomorrows practice sessions that you get plenty of running time and that you have something to smile about. Praying that the upgrades McLaren are bringing to Germany solve the problems that have left you struggling in the middle of the field. They need to get you back up the front of the pack where you belong. I will be watching the practice sessions as always and keeping my fingers crossed that McLaren have got it right!!

All the very very best JB.

    Kay x

  34. Kate Merrin says:

    Hi Jenson
Our son, Adam, 21, who is long standing F1 fan, and yours is one of the few books he has ever raved about (!) is doing his first Virgin Triathlon in London in September. Just qualified as Personal Trainer so is hoping this event will be the first of many. He’s raising funds for Hounds for Heroes – a new charity, providing dogs for disabled servicemen and women. You’ve been a real inspiration to him over the last few years and it was following your triathlon experiences that prompted him to give it a go.
A good luck message from you would make his year and hopefully help propel him through the water at the start. He managed to make Silverstone last weekend and had a fantastic time – even managed to get a reasonable picture of you from the pitwall. Any encouragement would be great. Hope your August event goes well and we’ll be cheering you along from the TV this weekend for Hockenheim. Kate

  35. Geoff Knott says:

    Hi Jenson,
Have you ever thought of trying a different kind of pedal power? How about an entry next time in the British Pedal Car Grand Prix (see Or maybe the roles could be reversed – eg pit wall crew driving the car, and the drivers acting as pit crew? John Hopkins (of World Superbikes) was in Ringwood a few months ago – perhaps he was considering an entry sometime, and checking out the course.
    Best wishes,

  36. Elton says:

    Hi Jenson,
Deeply sorry you had problems in Q1, which made things more difficult in the race, but a very good recovery to pick up a point, they all count. Do hope team gets the mods now to get you back up to where you belong, on the podium.
    Best wishes,

  37. Jemma says:

Hey Jenson from frome!!! Our local dance studio puts on a charity dance showcase at the cheese and grain every year, last year we raised over £3000 for cancer research uk! This September we are raising money for clic Sargent, who helped my parents before and after my sister passed away from a brain tumor. The show includes pole dancing, street, contempory, hoola hoop, cheer leading and children’s street dance! One of our main events is the huge raffle that is held after the show, as we are trying to double the amount we made last year, please would you donate a raffle prize? Feel free to come along to the show lol! We would all love to see you again!!!
Keep safe, looking forward to your reply xxx

  38. Albert says:

Jenson, please contact me by e-mail or have your engineer do so, I have an idea that may increase the front tyre temp as required. I can’t divulge it on a public site for all to see. Cheers.

  39. trev smith says:

    many thanks and best wishes

  40. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

Firstly, congratulations for receiving the Hawthorn Trophy, fantastic. Glad you enjoyed the race but sorry it was another difficult one, but well done in making up six places to grab the last available point. We all know that championships can be won and lost by one point, so that one point may count at the end of the season. I hope that McLaren can find some answers to the lack of pace that you are suffering with, without the pace you cannot win the race. McLaren need to get you back up the front fighting with the Red Bulls before it gets too late. Keep smiling JB and lets hope that you have a race winning car beneath you when you head to Germany in two weeks.

So well done JB you did a brilliant job on a very difficult day, Britain is proud of you!!

    Kay x

  41. Elton says:

    Hi Jenson,
I second what Kay says about Glock ! Was a damm shame when you were on a quick one, but you are the master at choosing the right time to change tyres and quick in the wet, even Seb rates you chances of winning. But not as much as your fans, we are all looking foreward to the JB, we all know and love, the true sportsman!
Good luck and very best wishes for tomorrow.
    Regards Elton.

  42. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

So sorry for a very unlucky qualifying session, damn Glock for spinning off and ruining your final flying lap in Q1. I know you have got a tough job ahead of you tomorrow but know you will do everything in your power to cut through the field to get to the front of the pack.

I wish you all the very very best for tomorrow Champ and I hope that lady luck is also shining down on you. Behind you 100%

    Good Luck JB!!

    Kay x

    Kay x

  47. Elton says:

    Hi Jenson,
Go Jenson Go. I’m looking foreward to this weekends GP, but not as much as you for sure! Wishing you all the best for the top podium place , hope you have a good race, but most of all an enjoyable one.
My wife and daughter are now fighting over your poster that arrived today, they say you are better looking than me, cant believe that, lol.
    Have a good race.
    Best wishes.

  48. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

Had a brilliant time at Goodwood on Saturday, but disappointed that I never got to meet you (very jealous of Barbara and Jack)!! It was great to get up close to the car that you drove in your fantastic 2011 season especially Canada, Hungary and Japan and to see you roaring up and down the hill. Can’t wait for the British GP next weekend, praying that you will fulfill your dream and stand on the top step of the podium, you certainly deserve to.

    Silverstone here we come!!

    All the best JB.

    Kay x

  49. Sharon Sanders says:

My husband and son (Jack Sanders) visited Goodwood at the weekend – he was totally amazed to have met you. He enjoyed the whole day but meeting you really made his day. He was really dispointed that he waited (like many others) but when you came to sign unfortunately he was pushed aside by people wanting you to sign loads of merchandise. He only had the A5 size card that was given out at Goodwood. It is also his 6th Birthday tomorrow and was hoping that you could send a signed photo of you. I know it would be the best thing ever for him. I know that he would not get it in time but a belated gift would be truly wonderful.

    I hope this gets though!!

    Kind Regards
    Sharon (his Mum)

  50. Barbara says:

Hi Jenson, it was grreat meeting you again at Goodwood and chatting with you ,I hope everything goes well at Silverstone this weekend I will be putting my money on you as usual good luck

  51. alex moore says:

I would like to leave a message please to Jenson Button Staff to please ask for a signed picture of Jenson for my mum who is is the final stages of debilitating Motor Neuron Disease……

My mum is called Ann Moore and 68 years young. She has followed Jenson Button since his beginnings and watches every race on home tv. Now with no movement, speech or swallowing capacity left and about to have a small stomach PEG operation for food tube…. she would absolutely LOVE a photo sent to her!

Mum knows all about F1, her family sadly don’t have a clue. She was watching in the Hospice last Sunday and always gets great pleasure from seeing Jenson Drive in competition. She never made it to a real live race but loves the TV action.

If someone could send her a signed photo it would bowl her over… Please contact me if this could be arranged or could be sent direct to her Hospice – EDEN VALLEY HOSPICE, Durdar Rd, Carlisle, Cumbria, CA2 4SD, UK

I hope this gets through?? Many thanks, Alex (daughter)

  52. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

  54. Joanna Nixon says:

    Hello Jenson
Me and my family are huge fans of yourself and F1,So when our first son was born he was named Jenson! Jenson Robert Jones.
It is Jenson who is 6 yrs of age I am kindly asking for a little surprise for. Jenson has spastic diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy which was diagnosed at the age of 2. He uses a walking frame to get around and wears splints on his legs day and night, he never complains and does everything with a big smile on his face that makes me proud of him everyday. Jenson is due to have a spinal operation in Oswestry, shropshire on the 31st July which will hopefully give him a better standard of walking and no longer require use of his wheelchair or walking frame, but most of all to have flat feet like his younger brothers! I would be so so grateful for a signed picture to place near his bed in hospital, Jens would be so excited to recieve anything,as we will be there for 7 or more weeks as he undergoes intense physio! We wish you well at silverstone and maybe one day get to meet you and you meet my amazing Jenson.

    Kind regards

  55. Terry Simmonds says:

JB you are the best! I know most F1 insiders say things like “he’s the slowest driver ever to win the title” and “he only succeeds in this tire nursing era of f1 for risk averse slow pokes” but they’re just bitter! You’ll show them by out qualifying your team mate one of these days.

  56. Elton says:

    Hi Jenson,
I feel for you over yesterdays result, but agree it was a fine drive from Fernando and share your wishes to do the same at Silverstone ! You are a true sportsman, at least you do not throw your toys out of the pram! Thanks for your comments Kay.
    Best wishes ,

  57. Kelly says:

Hi Jenson, just wanted to join in with the rest of the fans and let you know we are 100% behind you all the way! Keep your spirits and self belief up and that smile on your face! I am very much looking forward to being there at silverstone in less than 2 weeks to cheer you on! my father, brother and uncle are all marshalling that weekend representing the silverstone marshals team and will also be behind you! best of luck! you are one of the greatest in the sport!

  58. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

I agree whole heartedly with Elton. Hate to see you looking so down JB – chin up, tomorrow is another day. Wishing you all the very very best for the race Champ.

    Kay x

  59. hi jenson good luck at valencia i am watching qualifying as i send this .i have four pictures on my wall .fangio nigel damon and youreself .ive followed you for years i love your attitude and positiveness i met you once at bluewatter in kent, i heard you have just been the victim of a scam.i have just been conned out of 6500 pounds in an ebay scam with a false website. it took me 4 years to save it up as i only earn 190 pounds a week and my wife is a full tjme carer for our dissabled son james. it was for a camper i have 4 son at home and a daughter with 2 granddaughters .i had booked 2 weeks off work so we could have our first holiday in 11years to the west country in it .iandeacon pretends to own this motorhome and says he cant come home to kings langley yet as his restaraunt in monaco needs him and his wife there .i now know he is not the legal owner as i have managed to trace them .i just thought as you have a place in monaco you may know of an ian deacon with a /restaraunt. i realise its along shot and its probably bogus, but he just may do he is currently selling or offering this motor home to around 2000 under 3 assumed names i have given all details to kent police/ trading standards/ action fraud citzens advice and my local mp. none of them have done anything use full other than take details and give me reference numers i .do nt know where to turn i felt suicidall all week..i cant even enjoy the football. watching the qaulifying is the first thing thsts took my mind of it. chear me up win the race . just seen youre interview blimey you looked more fed up than me. be possitve .from 9th you can go very long first stint to get up the front then 2 short fast runs in the second half you need to go long. you can do it i belive in you win.

  60. Elton says:

    HI Jenson,
Very best wishes for this weekend, you are the best, you just need the equipment . Whatever happens please keep smiling, as you always do, but most important hang on in there, things will improve. Your fans are behind you in their thousands.
    Take care,

  61. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

Hope you were encouraged by the practice sessions today, I know you were further down the field in P2 but the timings were very tight, so close between 1st and 12th. Hope between yourself and the team you manage to iron out any set-up problems before qualifying tomorrow.

Wishing you all the very very best for qualies and of course the race on Sunday. Would be great to see you at the front of the pack and back up on the podium, where you belong!

    As always, behind you 100%.

    Kay x

  62. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

Hope you have a trouble-free start to the weekend at the first two practice sessions tomorrow, fingers crossed the changes to the set-up and balance of the car work for you.

    All the very best.

    Kay x

  63. Jo says:

    Dear Jenson,

I will be coming to Silverstone this year to watch my first ever live Grand Prix and I can not wait, I am soooooo excited! My only hope is that you will have regained your magic by then. My brother will drive me mad going on and on about how Lewis is the better driver. I agree he is a fantastic driver but no matter what happens you will always be my favourite.

Lots of love and luck xxxxxxxxx

  64. sam says:

hi jenson button fans , ive been a jenson fan since australia 2000, if you are on twitter, tweet #Alwaysbelieveinjenson to everybody you follow.

  65. Kate says:

    Hi Jenson,

Hard luck at the weekend…don’t give up! I just wanted to let you know that my little nephew has been called after you, Charlie Jenson! When you were in Dublin last week, my brother met you as he works for Bavaria and while he was there his wife was rushed into labour…he missed the birth and she was eight weeks premature so due to him meeting you and the speed at which Charlie arrived they called him Charlie Jenson Devereux! He will be in hospital for a few weeks but he is doing good and is fighting hard. I was wondering would it be possible if you could maybe sign your autograph or a little note saying congrats. I am living in Australia and would love to give a present like that to my brother and his wife back home in Ireland. I am contactable by my email.

It would mean so much to me and them.
Hope to hear back from you.

  66. alan williams says:

reference your tyre problems, reminds me of something that happened to lauda many years ago, ferrari kept adding downforce to get heat into the tyres and that was making things worse. the tyres were not working properly because they had too much downforce, no heat so no grip. maybe its a similar problem, just a thought. best of luck.

  67. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

So sorry for another frustrating weekend. There is obviously an issue with your car somewhere because it certainly isn’t an issue with the driver! It is still early days in this crazy 2012 season, and I know you will be able to turn things around and keep fighting for the championship. Remember that we are all behind you every step of the way, through the good and the bad times.

    Stay positive JB.

    Kay x

  68. Craig Muxlow says:

    Hi Jensen,

Keep on fighting buddy. You have a huge amount of support here and Silverstone is coming.

@Ken I think he might be a little pre-occupied that weekend.

  69. adrian marshall says:

Sad about Canada J,McLaren need to concentrate efforts to get your car up to speed again,no reason at all for you to be off the pace. Best wishes for the balance of the season,to the gentleman of F1.

  70. john charlton says:

    hi jenson,
just a quick message to say good luck and come on you are the best f1 driver and its time to kick lewis’s butt, and get back to your rightfull place at the top of the standings.

  71. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

Just wanted to wish you all the very very best for the weekend in Canada. I know you will have put the bad times you had in the last three races behind you and that you will be 100% focused on the job in hand over the next three days. I hope you have a car that you are completely happy with, a car that you can win the race with, a car like last year that coupled with your superb driving skills gave you an absolutely epic win. Man and machine in perfect harmony!!

So looking forward to race day. Good luck, go JB!!

    Kay x

  72. Elton says:

Wishing you the very best for this weekends Canadian GP, we all hope you get a repeat result again this year, best wishes,

  73. Barbara says:

Hi Jenson,I hope everything goes well in canada ,from practice through to the race willnot see it live as I do not have sky BBC showing highlights at the ridiculous time of 10-30pm quali and same for the race, working people will probably be in bed by then

  74. Dave says:

    dear Jenson,

Jensen, Very sorry things went against you on Sunday, but I know being the true profesional that you are, you will put this behind you and bounce back to where you belong, on top of the podium!! You are the best driver out there, but also a true sportsman and an inspiration to us all.
    Best wishes, Elton

  79. Richard Creese says:

    Hi Jenson

I was after a great favour actually.

I am best man on 23rd June for my best mate Mark Turner. Mark is a HUGE fan of yours and eats, sleeps and drinks Formula One. He’s often cancelled many a function to watch to attend a Formula One event. It would make his day if he had a wedding wish from you! Either as a signed photo to them both or even an email? What a memory to cherish! If you could find the time could you email a comment or good wishes to him and his new wife, Siobhan. They marry at Horton church, Horton, Nr Bristol. I would be honoured to read out these words during my best man’s speech.

Thanking you in advance, if this is at all possible.

    Kind regards

    Richard Creese

I would just like to say i hope JB does get to read these comments and i totally agree with Kay that when the car is there for him Jenson is untouchable, like many great World Champions. My earlier comments are just an idea and i dont mean them as anything more than a talking point. Personally i would explode after every race if he wins.

  81. Steve says:

    Hi JB.

Jensen It would be nice if you could write something on here so we know you reed our comments.

Bad luck to day mate but you had a dificlt task.

  82. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

A very very difficult day for you yesterday, lady luck was certainly not shining down on you. Please don’t get too down hearted. McLaren need to deliver a car that is worthy of you, when you have a good car beneath you there is nothing anyone can do to stop you. Lets hope that McLaren can sort out the problems before you head to Canada, a place where we now you can do great things, look at last year, you drove an absolutely superb race, a race that will go down in history as one of the finest.

You are the No. 1 driver and you will be World Champion again!!

    Stay positive, behind you 100%.

    Kay x

  83. Anunaki says:

JB still my favourite current driver, behind you all the way. Heres a question for any one who wants to
have a go, is this new uglier Mclaren with a slight duckbill nose geared more towards oversteer?
It seems that no matter how careful you drive the tyres this year just give up suddenly so you will be
pitting more frequently no matter how you treat them. Are Mclaren tweaking this car more towards
Hamiltons driving style who drifts through corners as opposed to precise gentle cornering.
i think they are designing and evolving this car around Lewis and JB may already be looking elsewhere. 2 years at Ferrari helping Alonso to a third?

  84. John north says:

I’m an expat Jensen living in the US.
    I have watched F1 for 50 years.
You make me proud to be an Englishman!
Please continue doing what you do and you will always be respected by us purists who remember the magic of Moss.
    Best wishes
    John North Alanta Georgia.

  85. Lesley Muzio says:

Jens. bad luck will jump off your back very soon . You are a great Driver so don’t be hard on yourself. I know the tires will be sorted out soon, The next few races will be more suitable for the mclaren car anyway.

  86. Barbara says:

Another bad day Jenson, hopefully the team can get it sorted for Canada, the year started so well and everything has gone wrong since, so come on McLaren get the car right

  87. Ann-Marie Boardman says:

Who the hell is Ed…… ignorant nobody many on here have there own favourites but to slag a former World Champion off and one of the best is just plain ignorance and just shows what kind of a person you are…….All your fans have faith in you Jenson and you are the one of the best THE BEST for me Good Luck for today and I know all of your true fans are behind you 🙂 xx

  88. Kay says:

  92. Brooke says:

    Hi Jenson,
Do you really get these messages?

  93. Steve Waldeck says:

Jensen so nice to see your support of Gary Paffett at the DTM today at Brands Hatch. What with Gary and Chelsea winning the champions league last night over Munich it just shows you British Champions can do it…. Your great smile says it all. If only we could build cars like the Germans eh? But even better to see you waving the London flag supporting Warrs HD…….looks like Steve McQueen may pass you down the king of cool title . Best of British for the f1 title this year, Steve

  94. Charlene says:

Hi jenson it’s been a very long time since I posted a message to you but just wanted to encourage you to stay strong and focused your a good driver so I hope to see you on the podium in Monaco much love Charlene x

  95. Barbara says:

Hi ED Keep you nasty remarks to yourself all the drivers have bad days and this was Jensons so leave him alone

  96. Steve says:

Hi ED or is that your middle name and your first name is DICK short for Richard.

Remember Jenson is a world F1 champion not a loser.

  97. Kay says:

    Hi Ed

How dare you come on here slagging Jenson Button off. Jenson is a superb driver, a World Champion!! He admits he is having problems at the moment, but he is not the only one. So keep your nasty comments to yourself and stick them where the sun don’t shine.

  98. ed says:

Hi Jenson you were shit again as usual in Spain. LLLLLLoooooser

  99. Barbara says:

Bad day today Jenson but at least you got a couple of points. Lets hope you can get the car back to what it was in Australia I am sure it can be sorted

  100. Kay says:

    Hi Jenson

What can I say, lets hope that the issues you are having with the lack of balance and pace can be sorted out before the next race in Monaco. You are such a smooth driver and usually the master at getting the most out of the tyres, its a real mystery and must be so frustrating for you.

There is still a long way to go and plenty of points up for grabs, so stay positive JB!

    All the best.

    Kay x
